We have now learned who will replace Tony Pann. An inside source at CBS 2 has informed me that
Janine D'Adamo will join CBS 2 next week from
KTVT-TV in Dallas, Texas, where she has been CBS 11's morning meteorologist for a year. She was born and raised on Long Island, and got her first job at
WDAM-TV in Laurel-Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Half a year later, she was offered her first on-air position at
The Weather Channel where "I was exposed to every kind of weather event and learned to forecast each one of them." In Shreveport, Louisiana she became
KTBS-TV's Chief Meteorologist in 1997. D'Adamo has received the Television Seal of Approval from the
American Meteorological Society and from the
National Weather Association.
