Berardelli Back on CBS 2

Meteorologist Jeff Berardelli returned to CBS 2 during the 5 and 6 PM newscasts today for the first time since his departure for WFOR, CBS 4 in Miami on Sunday, March 18, 2007. Berardelli was seen one other time since his move to Miami, during the Tunnel to Towers coverage in September. Berardelli was in for Lonnie Quinn who went on vacation late last week. It is unclear whether Beradelli is here to stay, or just helping out while CBS 2 is short-handed after the recent departure of John Bolaris back to Philadelphia. Stay tuned to NewsByte2 for more updates.

Berardelli was the best weather guy CBS 2 had in a long time. Bolaris was so bossy soundsing--Berardelli was professional yet nice. Let's hope he's here to stay.

I am so happy to see Jeff back, and I'd love to see him here to stay, too! But I wouldn't hold my breath just yet about him leaving Miami...he only left in March. Welcome home Jeff...if only for a little while. We've missed you!

maybe if Lonnie is off to the Early Show, Jeff could swoop in as Chief Met?!

Well, you guys, Jeff's bio is still on WFOR's site...but there's also a posting there for a freelance Weekend Morning Weather Anchor. Who knows? Jeff always told me the "only constant in this business is change". Let's all hope. :)

Hate to break the news to you guys, but I highly doubt LQ is moving to the Early Show. I'd love it, I think he not only deserves it but really belongs there, but given the fact they JUST reshot weather commercials with him in it and TES promos still have Dave Price, Jeff won't be Chief Met anytime soon. I'd love to see it though, or at least see him back on 2.

Hi, Comment #6 Anonymous, I totally agree with you about Lonnie...Dave's not going anywhere, and 2 did just shoot new promos. Maybe comment #4 Anonymous meant the SAT. Early Show, since he and Chris Wragge are there pretty much every week. He enjoys doing that show, and I agree with you again, he deserves it. :) I think he might continue that, until they actually decide to replace Ira Joe (his TSES bio is gone). All I meant about Jeff earlier is maybe since there is that weather anchor spot open at WFOR and posted 6 mos. from when he got there -- maybe we can just hope he's staying till they get someone else, and then come home to 2. :) Have a great night, you guys.

I always thought Jeff Berardelli was the best at actually explaining the weather better than any other local weather man. He is a welcome addition. I hope he stays.

Hi Ryler,
Jeff knows his stuff, and knows how to get it across, you are so right. I hope maybe he'll see our comments, and know he's still very appreciated here. I think we're all hoping he'll stay. :) Have a great day, guys! Catch you later.

i can't belive i missed JEFF back in December

I too agree - that yes, jeff was the best weatherman on WCBS and the cutest italian too...

he has so much passion for his job - and just loves telling people about the weather - he actually makes it interesting...

bring back this fellow italian - he would be so great to have back in NYC - where he belongs
