Skin Cancer Special This Weekend

CBS 2 will air "Sunburned: Skin Cancer Exposed" this Sunday at noon. The special will take a look at the sun's dangers now that summer has begun. "Sunburned" originally aired last year on August 5th and is still available on wcbstv.com.

CBS 2 "At The Tonys"

CBS 2 will air its annual Tony Awards preview show this weekend. "At The Tonys," an hour-long broadcast, airs Sunday at noon and is hosted by Dana Tyler.

Highlights and performers from this year's Tony-nominated shows are featured, including Patti LuPone, Laurence Fishburne, Patrick Stewart and Martha Plimpton. Also: a sneak peak inside the goody bag.

It also mentions that entertainment reporters Katie McGee and Megan Glaros will contribute reports in the special.

The Broadway-honoring 2008 Tony Awards will air later that night at 8:00 on CBS.

"Women at the Top" Tomorrow Night

Kristine Johnson hosts "Women at the Top" tomorrow night at 7:00 on CBS 2. The hour-long special focuses on women who have found success in the areas of business, politics, finance and entertainment.

All this month, CBS 2 has been airing sponsored spots recognizing successful women for "Month of Women."

"Eye on New York" to Re-Air at Noon

Beginning this Sunday, "Eye on New York" will air at both 6:30 a.m. and 12 noon. That's based on an announcement made during newscasts today. The program will focus on the 60th anniversary of Israel.

The show has been airing at 6:30 since it debuted on March 16th and we reported two weeks ago that it would add a rebroadcast at 11:30, though it never did air then.

"The McLaughlin Group" Moves to CBS 2

And now we know what's going to air before the second airing of Eye on New York...

Keisean sends in this press release, which announces that "The McLaughlin Group" will move from NBC's WRC-TV to CBS affiliate WUSA-TV next weekend. Here in New York, that means the show will move from NBC 4, where it's been for over two decades, to CBS 2, airing Sunday mornings at 11:00 beginning May 4th.

"Eye on New York" Adds Second Broadcast

Eye on New York, CBS 2's seven-week-old community airs program, is adding a second broadcast. The Sunday morning show, which had been airing at 6:30, will now re-air at 11:30 to give more people a chance to watch it. This week, Maurice DuBois talks with Wynton Marsalic about the 200th anniversary of the Abyssinean Babtist Church.

"Date With Destiny"

Less than 24 hours before the kickoff of the Super Bowl, Ducis Rodgers will host an hour-long special focusing on the Giants. "Date With Destiny" airs live from Arizona tonight at 7:00 on CBS 2 and will include "expert analysis" from Chris "Mad Dog" Russo and Craig Carton of WFAN Sports Radio 66.

CBS 2 Presents "Arts & Leisure Week"

CBS 2 will air an hour-long special tomorrow night with highlights from The New York Times' annual "Arts & Leisure Week." The forum took place earlier this month at the TimesCenter on 41st Street. According to the press release, the celebrities include Mel Brooks, Sidney Lumet, Josh Brolin and Wynton Marsalis.

Dana Tyler hosts the broadcast, which begins tomorrow at 7:00 p.m. Video from the 2007 and 2006 shows is available on wcbstv.com.

"Eye on the Storm" Saturday

CBS 2 will air a half-hour special Saturday on winter weather. "Eye on the Storm: Extreme Winter Weather" will feature the CBS 2 weather team of Lonnie Quinn, John Elliott and Elise Finch. It begins at 7:00 p.m. For more information, check out this press release or watch this promo:

"Design Week" Airs Tomorrow

CBS 2 will air "Design Week," an hour long special produced with House and Garden Design Happening, tomorrow at 1 p.m. Chris Wragge and Kristine Johnson host the show and Mary Calvi, Kate McGee, Magee Hickey, Scott Rapoport and Alexis Christoforous will provide reports. CBS 2 Presents "Race For The Cure"

On the eve of this weekend's Susan G. Komen New York City Race for the Cure, CBS 2 News will air an hour-long special on breast cancer. "Race For The Cure" is hosted by morning anchors Maurice DuBois and Kate Sullivan and airs Saturday night at 7:00. According to the press release, the "inspirational hour" "highlights the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in New York City and takes a positive and encouraging look at breast cancer survivors and new advances in fighting the disease." Dr. Holly Phillips, Dr. Max Gomez, Dana Tyler, Cindy Hsu, Kristine Johnson, Tamsen Fadal and Katie McGee will also provide reports.
